Award winning cannabis, regeneratively farmed,
sustainably packaged.

How did you get started in cannabis?

We both were introduced to cannabis through the Grateful Dead. We wanted to have a stable source for good, clean medicine, so once we stopped travelling and settled down, we started to grow our own in our backyard in Arcata.

What are the most rewarding aspects of your job?

Knowing that we are producing the cleanest, most healing medicine that we can in the most environmentally friendly way possible. Knowing that we are providing solid employment for our crew that allows them to achieve their life goals. Receiving comments from happy customers that our flower helped them and they enjoyed consuming it.

And the most challenging?

Dealing with regulations that seem out of step with farming and the harmless nature of the plant.

What do you think makes the Emerald Triangle unique compared to other cannabis regions?

The thing I like best about the Emerald Triangle is the community. The cannabis community has long supported the arts, social justice, community non-profits, and the many small businesses that exist in the Emerald Triangle. I hope we can maintain this support as we struggle through this new paradigm of regulation.

What advice would you give to someone trying to get into the Emerald Triangle cannabis industry?

Please join the cannabis community because you love the plant. It is way too hard to make it in this industry if you are not guided by your desire to make the world a better place, through cannabis. If you just want to use the Emerald Triangle name to make money please don’t come here.

You offer glamping retreats at your farm. Could you tell us more?

Yes! We host glamping farm stay retreats at our farm to welcome people who would like to see what we are doing firsthand, to show off the beautiful Willow Creek region, and teach the principles of sustainable living and connection to nature.

If you weren’t a cannabis farmer, what would you be doing?

Farming other crops and being badass homesteaders. Continuing to run my wholistic physical therapy practice.

What do you have in your stash?

Burmese Mimosa, and a new cultivar we are calling “Sol Shine.”
